Dehumidification equipment comes in many shapes and sizes depending on your needs. Here is a list of equipment used to restore your facility to proper order:

Desiccant Dehumidifiers

The process of using desiccant dehumidifiers is, perhaps, the most effective method available of controlling humidity and/or stopping moisture, drying a space, or controlling climate. Desiccant dehumidifiers are portable industrial sized equipment that can be used as a stand-alone unit or can be used in conjunction with generators, heaters or cooling equipment.

LGR

LGR stands for ‘low grain refrigerant.’ Because these are refrigerant based dehumidifiers, the by-product of their operation is water, which exits the unit through a small plastic hose, easily directed to a nearby sink or drain.

Generators

Generators are a power source for large and small equipment. They can be used during power outages after a storm, special events, and used along with desiccants for humidity control.

Air Scrubbers

Air Scrubbers are also known as “negative air machine”. Air scrubbers are primarily used to remove airborne particles and fumes from a particular site. Air scrubbers are used when a building or space contains mold spores. These units can remove the spores from the air, making it less harmful to breath. If the site is full of harmful fumes, the air scrubbers can help flush the building and effectively ‘scrub the air.’

When do I need to use an air scrubber? It is now recommended that you include an air scrubber on every remediation job AND every water damage restoration job. The restoration/remediation process sends millions of microscopic particles into the air where they may be inhaled by employees or occupants. An air scrubber filters the air to reduce the number of particles and maintain high indoor air quality.
